The Year of Dominion
"Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." - Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV)
Ever since creation, God’s vision was that man would have dominion over all of Gods creation; however, since the fall of the first Adam we have been fighting to get back what Adam gave to the enemy. It is now through the power of Christ we can have that dominion back. We don’t have to settle for things ruling over us, but we have the power of Christ to reign again. Listen, we the body of Christ must come to the understanding that we are victorious people with a kingdom mandate to model the power of Christ in our lives. This power is not limited to our worship experience, but this authority is to be exerted into our everyday living. I believe the power of God has not only saved us from our sins, but this power gives us the ability to run companies, corporations, become entrepreneurs, be model citizens, rule over our fears, as well as be delivered from perverse living, drugs and things that keep us from walking in the confidence of Jesus Christ. This is a time for the body of Christ to wake up and stop cursing the opportunities God has laid before us. We have to stop hindering the power of God in our lives and live a life of dominion. This is not a season to make excuses for why we are not ruling, but to get back in our rightful positions as Christians. Therefore, I say let us receive the plan of God for us to have dominion in our lives. Don’t just sit there, rise up and take your rightful position in “This Year of Dominion.” When we accept the Lord as Savior of our lives, He has taken the boundaries off. God has given us the liberty to reign in Christ; Step into your season and let’s reign together.
