Protect What's Being Restored

"Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows. After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes."

From a human standpoint it might be argued, Nehemiah missed a good place to give up. But he didn't give up against these odds. He stood up and said, "Don't be afraid of these guys... you need to REMEMBER THE LORD. These guys are weaklings ... the Lord is great and awesome and He is on our side."
- Nehemiah 4: 13-14 (NKJV)

Welcome to the year of Spiritual Perfection!

Greetings In The Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Well once again God has blessed us to see another year, and it is my prayer that 2007 will be a year of Restoration.  While on sabbatical, the Lord reminded me of the importance of protecting what He has established, and from that our 2007 theme was birthed - Protect What's Being Restored.  Once you have committed to faithfully rebuild and restore what God has established whether it is your marriage, finances, family relationships, friendships etc., you will face opposition, pressures and even discouragement.  At times you may feel overwhelmed by your situation and circumstances.  However, you must be mindful as our theme scripture states in Nehemiah 4:13-14 that we must… “not be afraid. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and daughters, your wives and your homes.”

New Mercies, I am so excited about the plans God has for us individually and as a church family in 2007. Now let's stay prayerful and focused as we continue to be mindful of His purpose for our lives while continuing to rebuild, restore and protect that which He has so faithfully entrusted to us.

Forever Christ's,
