Marriages and families today face multiple challenges at every life stage. We need places that provide the love, acceptance, support, encouragement and guidance to help us become all that Christ desires us to be. Sevier Heights Adult Ministry is committed to creating these places primarily through weekly involvement in three critical ministries: Worship, Bible Fellowship and Small Groups.

Bible Fellowship

Every couple needs a place to belong, be loved and be accepted with other couples in similar life stages. Our Bible Fellowship (Sunday School) groups are designed to allow people to gather around interactive Bible study on a weekly basis. The members of these groups connect with and care for each other and reach out to others as their own lives are changed.

The Married Adult Ministry includes couples spanning anywhere from newlyweds to empty nesters, with or without children.  The Median Adult Ministry picks up where the Married Adult Ministry leaves off.  Median Adults are described by lifestyle or life situation, not by a specific age group.  They are empty nesters, nearly retired and recently retired.

Whether newlywed, young, median, or senior, married adults at New Mercies Christian Church grow through Bible study, discipleship development, friendship, fellowship, and ministry. Multiple departments and classes offer quality Bible study, service opportunities and fellowship times.

Every marriage moves toward enhancing one another's glory or towards disregarding each other. It is the purpose of the Married Adult Ministry to encourage couples to love their spouse the way they are and at the same time to believe and encourage their spouse to be the godly men/women they can be.
