Thanks so much for your time today and interest in Cruise with a Cause. We are very excited to have the opportunity to reach 133,000 students in the Jamaican schools PLUS an expected minimum of 80,000 people at the crusade. As mentioned, this is a very family friendly mission and family affordable mission trip. Dates are May 30 - June 4, 2011.

Special message from Pastor Curney!

Missions Opportunities

Take a vacation and change a nation. The 2011 Cruise with a Cause will be the largest foreign mission effort that has ever taken place, as we organize more than 3000 people to share the Gospel with over 133,000 students in Jamaica. We will also minister in the streets and prisons as well as host a large crusade event in Montego Bay. Participation in the mission is optional, but it is easy and fun for the entire family, not to mention incredibly rewarding.

For those who want even more time ministering, we have a second day in Montego Bay where we will continue the school and street missions. Materials will be provided for all participants, as well as pre-training aboard the ship.

SCHOOL MISSION
With special allowances from the Jamaican Government, groups led by US hosts will combine CWAC guests, artists and speakers into teams that share the love of our Savior in schools throughout Montego Bay. This is a fun time of meeting Jamaican students and presenting them with an opportunity to make a decision for Christ.

  • Reach more than 200 schools and 133,000 students in 2 days
  • Receive specialized evangelism materials and training beforehand
  • Creatively express the Gospel using your talents in dance, drama, voice, art, etc.
  • Pray and confirm decisions made for Christ with Jamaican students
  • Build relationships with students that will last long after your cruise trip!

PRISON MISSION
For a more adventurous witnessing experience, a small team of CWAC guests will visit prisons to counsel with selected inmates. After a short concert and Gospel presentation, guests will be able to answer questions and share. In years past, Prison Missions teams have seen hundreds of inmates and guards saved.

  • Powerful supervised ministry in hard-core prisons
  • Answer questions and minister directly to inmates and prison guards
  • Available to a limited group of people
  • Participants must be at least 21 years of age, with valid passport. Prison ministry experience recommended

STREET MISSION
Go in groups or individually—there’s no specific way to street witness! Armed with tracts and flyers for the evening Crusade, you can leisurely walk the downtown streets of Montego Bay to converse with locals and tourists. Some guests even take tracts on recreational shore excursions and return with interesting stories of people they’ve shared Christ with.

  • Enjoy a leisurely stroll downtown, shop or go on a recreational shore excursion - all with an eternal purpose in mind
  • Receive specialized evangelism materials and training
  • Gain experience and confidence to more effectively share your faith at home, in your own community
  • Learn to share your testimony the way Jesus did

PRAYER MISSION
Support the other mission efforts in organized group prayer aboard the ship, as the teams leave for schools, prisons and the downtown streets of Montego Bay. Afterwards, either stay on-board or visit other mission sites for on-location opportunities. Prayer is a critical element in this mission, and individuals and teams in the Prayer Mission are encouraged to be creative in their ministry of support.

  • Learn deeper prayer skills, then develop Faith muscles as you put those lessons into practice
  • Unite with other Christians of different ethnicities and denominations to pray for people to accept Christ
  • Help us usher in the Spirit of God for the crusade event
  • Lead us in a prayer of thanksgiving at our Celebration Service on the ship

Crusade Event

EVENING CRUSADE
At the end of our first day in Montego Bay, guests from Cruise with a Cause will be invited to work behind the scenes in support of the JamaicaFest Crusade; a one night event bringing together over 80,000 locals for praise, worship and sermons. Your work and participation will help make this event successful by helping to set up the arena and stage areas, and by sharing and counseling one-on-one with local Jamaicans who come forward to receive Christ as their Savior. Outreach opportunities on CWAC are optional, but this single-night event will truly give you a lifetime’s worth of memories as you take part in building the local church and personally share the love of Christ.

  • Play an important part in making an incredible soul-winning crusade a success as many will begin a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Experience another country in a way that few people ever have an opportunity to do
  • Unique mission opportunities for children to be involved in this part of the mission
SPEAKERS & ARTISTS
No other single mission experience pulls together the same number and diversity of Christian speakers and artists—it’s part of what makes Cruise with a Cause so unique! Leading Christian artists from every genre come together with renowned national Christian speakers in support of a single cause: to passionately share the Gospel of Christ to those in need. This will be one of the most incredible ensembles ever to appear together for a single mission event. Where else could you hear this many spectacular speakers and artists, while still enjoying the luxury and fun of a cruise in the Caribbean?
